The Trevor Project is geared toward helping with crisis interference and suicide prevention for LGBT+ people under 25, and if you aren't comfortable talking on the phone, they have an online chat option.
US Crisis Text line- Text HOME to 741741
US Crisis Text line provides free, text-based crisis support in the US.
International Suicide Hotlines- For any visitors that aren't from the US, here's a website that's compiled a bunch of crisis hotlines for different countries.


Therapy Resources

Types of Therapy- This is from Mind, which is a mental health charity (based in the UK) that has loads of helpful articles about understanding and addressing mental illness.
7 Cups of Tea- This is a website that offers free text-based therapy.
WYSA- A website that uses an AI to help identify thought patterns and challenge them in a healthy way. They have also added both the ability to talk to a therapist and more tools like meditation sessions, gratitude journaling, and dealing with intense emotions.[Also an app]

Alternatives to Self Harm- a list of self harm alternatives based off of the emotions caused by or produced by self harm
The Butterfly Project- a project that encourages people to stop harming themselves by encouraging them to draw a butterfly on their arm instead and commit to not harming while the butterfly is still there.

Apps that may be helpful for improving mental health (all free at time of posting):
WYSA- Therapy chat bot app that allows the user to identify thought patterns and challenge them in a healthy way.
Booster Buddy- An app that encourages the user to take care of themselves by doing mindful/ self care actions, based on their energy level when they checked into the app, and by checking off those actions the user wakes up and cares for their booster buddy.
Aloe Bud- An app that allows the user to track self care tasks, such as taking their medication, drinking water, exercising, etc.
Stop, Breathe, and Think- A meditation and mood tracker app that recommends meditation based off of your mood.
Headspace- A meditation app with free meditations.
Calm- Another meditation app with free meditations and a "breathe" option that follows a 3-square breathing pattern (really helpful for controlling one's breath during a panic attack).
SuperBetter- An app that helps build self-resiliency by offering challenges to work on things like self-criticism, lack of motivation, anxiety, and much more.
